Who Will Benefit…
All types of IBS can be treated by this
diet, and it is relatively easy to implement.
How this diet works…
- We stop eating cereals and legumes, so that all the damaging fibre that
triggers IBS symptoms is gone.
- We use foods that release bile
salts and slow the small intestine.
These are cooked proteins (meat/fish/egg), and dairy foods.
- We take enzyme supplements from protease fruits
- We exclude Gluten as it causes constipation.
- We take a mineral
supplement to provide trace minerals.
- We practice a Relaxation Therapy. This stops stress
related IBS symptoms by teaching the autonomic nervous
system to relax.
So you leave out cereals and legumes. You eat
a serving of cooked protein or dairy, and have a little
protease fruit with each meal. You take a mineral supplement
daily. You stop eating all processed foods
containing gluten, and learn how to relax. Easy!
